Last weekend, two of my best friends and I went to Paris for two days. This was my second time in Paris, my first being with FIT. It was definitely a different experience, because I did not have to follow the school's schedule, which was very busy, long days. I fell in love with Paris when I went last time, but I feel like even more so this time around. This time in Paris, we got to see more local restaurants and neighborhoods, and took our time enjoying the hidden gems of Paris.

Day One

Outfit of the day: Zara Turtleneck, Zara Skirt, shoes from DSW

We started the day off by walking around on Rue Lamarck, and enjoying a simple French breakfast. The cafe we went to is called Soul Kitchen, which serves amazing homemade food and coffee. It has such a cozy and welcoming atomosphere. For 11 euros each, we got a coffee, juice and baguette of different styles. Honestly if I lived near here in Paris I would go everyday!

After breakfast, we continued to wonder around the streets, and passed the famous La Maison Rose. After plenty of photos and walking around the cobblestone streets, we headed to le Marais neighborhood for lunch. For lunch, we decided to go to Seasons, which has a super chic interior and serves an overall healthy menu. It was busy when we got there, but we only waited for about 30 minutes and the staff gave us tea while we waited. All of our food came out great, and I would definitely recommend it to people with dietary restrictions.

After lunch we did some shopping around the heart of Paris. It was freezing while we were there, and Saturday was so cloudy and windy, so we didn't like to stay on the streets for too long. In the middle of the afternoon, we stopped at Starbucks to warm up and get our coffee fill. From there, we headed off to a crêperie for a snack. We went to La Droguerie on Rue des Rosiers, which served one of the best tasting crepes I have ever had.

To end the night, we went to a Vietnamese restaurant with our friend who hosted us, and just had a chill night catching up. The food was amazing and so authentic.

Day 2

Outfit of the day: Free People jumpsuit, shoes from DSW

To start of our second day, our friend bought us all baguettes and croissants from a local bakery right next to Le Bon Marche. He served it with homemade jams, cheese, and Spanish ham. It was so nice to start both of our days in Paris off with such simple breakfasts.

For the whole morning, we chatted over coffee and the amazing bakery food, and then got ready to go out.

For brunch we went a cafe called Judy, on Rue De Fleurus. Honestly, the drinks had no flavor, but the food was good, especially for people who are gluten or lactose free.

From Judy, we headed to over to the Luxembourg gardens to walk around. The sun was out on Sunday, so it was a lot more enjoyable to walk around. By mid-afternoon, we went on the metro to head over to the Eiffel Tower. We took plenty of pictures, and sat to watch the sunset.

For our last night, we decided to get take out burgers, and take them back to the apartment. We enjoyed nice glasses of champagne, and dressed up to take pictures on the balcony in front of the stunning view of the Eiffel Tower.

Our time in Paris went by so fast, and before we knew it we were going back to Florence. I can not wait to go back, but unfortunately it will probably not be until next year. This city is definitely one of my favorites in the world, and I feel that everyone should see Paris once in their lifetime. I think that Paris is even more dreamy then what they say in movies or books.

With love,

Madison
